New Birth Portraits

The New Birth Portrait Series is a collection of video portraits that seek to explore and further articulate the ‘New Birth’ through the lives of New Yorkers. It was created by Redeemer Presbyterian Church in 2010 as part of Redeemer’s 20th Anniversary Year. I was asked to direct a portrait of Ellie Ellsworth at the time. Since then I have directed two more portraits, of Charlie Osewalt and Maureen Martino.
